Bourns are a nice quality alternative to CTS pots. These audio taper pots are suitable for both tone and volume controls. Bourns 500K pots work very well high quality. One note these pots have a lot less friction when they turn. I don't care for that on my guitars. Not sure if they are available with higher friction like the CTS pots. However they are still very good quality pots.

I purchased these components after I rewired my homemade guitar 3 times just to find that my former too good to be true priced Pots and caps which were too good to be true were crap. I rated those parts a one star. Never order 4 pots and 2 - 500 K ohm caps for $9, they won't work. These are sturdy parts and were excellent. 0 noise on a well shielded instruments. I couldn't be happier sliding and gliding over the strings as my amp is pumping out the notes in crisp clear intonation.

Truly opened up the Tone number between one and 10 compared to the original pots in the guitar. I will only use this brand going forward.

2 of them arrived torn apart and fully damaged, one of them is crooke. Also they have no resistance at all, just plain awful. I do not recommend them
