Question1: Does this have a hook and loop pad and is the pad hard or soft?
Answer: It is hook and loop with a firm pad. It is orbital. Not rotary.
Question2: Is this perfect for color sanding a car ?
Answer: YES
Question3: Is this good for wet sanding a boat?
Answer: YES
Question4: Need to know, is this a "vib e only" or an orbital sander?
Answer: this is a vib e only. I also use a 5 gallon bucket and open the valve fully and the water ( set to about 30 PSI of air pressure) spits and dribbles. Just enough to wet the area. I think if I put the bucket about a foot off the floor, it would work a bit better, specially working on a truck hood. I found it very useful restoring headlights. For the price, its a great tool.
Question5: can this be hooked up to a hose bib or similar ??
Answer: JUST USE A 5 GALLON BUCKET
Question6: Would you recommend this item for sanding unfinished oak plank flooring following filling and prior to finishing?
Answer: I would use the air sander without the water option

Just received sander and started out on a project to wet sand. The sander started out ok for about 5minutes then the water would stop coming out. I have it in a 5 gallon bucket full of water and water does not come out constant. not working well. There are no instructions on how to adjust water flow other than a small ball valve. does not appear you can adjust anything on sander. So far not happy at all.

I can’t use this because it didn’t come with instructions so it’s basically just a piece of junk sitting in a drawer

Does not orbit. Just vibrates and can not draw water above 5’. Save your money. Stopped working 1.5 hours into lite use. I had high hopes. Maybe horizontal sanding of something, not sure though. just sat there and vibrated until it stopped.

We used water to sand, but the hose does not really work right. Was easer to just put water on my truck hood and then sand.
