I took my mom ashes for Texas to West Virginia. The funeral home divided her ashes into an urn and a sprinkling tube. The sprinkling tube provided by the funeral home was HUGE. I don't travel with anything other than a backpack, so space is limited. Most of her ashes remained in Texas and she was buried here. I was able to put the ashes in the original sprinkling tube into the much smaller one for transportation. She made it to West Viginia in style (nice looking tube) and a small part of her will forever be in the Shenandoah Mountains.

I used this to scatter my father's ashes.It's sufficient.Essentially a cylindrical cardboard mailer with a design on it. Was somewhat worried the bottom would fall out - so I kept the ashes inside a bag inside the tube until immediately before the scattering.It held up through the scattering just fine.

It arrived undamaged, but there were no instructions to be found. I scratched my head for a while and then decided to Google how to fill a scattering urn with ashes. Surprisingly YouTube had a video. I suggest you watch it before you attempt to put your loved one in a container that you may mess up. I will attempt to put Mom correctly in the tube and if I have any issues I will revise my review.
