I was trying to sand in small places between fragile pressed, dried flowers and would sometimes touch the flowers damaging them. These sanding sticks are exactly what I needed. One review said the black sand made black mark's on the item being sanded, but I have not experienced that issue.

These are great for those tiny nooks and crannies that a flat piece of paper doesn't quite fit.

The grit comes off the heads of these relatively easy so it's important to let the sander do all the work and not apply any pressure. It worked for what I needed, though, and I'm glad it came with such a high quantity of sticks because I did go through a lot of them while learning the pressure of the sticks.

I don't know why people say these are good for sanding wood because it has not been my experience. The heads are basically the same stuff a wet stone is made of. Try sanding wood with your sharpening wet stone. It doesn't work.

...for the different types of crafts and hobbies I do. No more folding up a piece of sandpaper trying to get in small spaces and accidentally sanding other areas. There are two different grits on these. Just what I needed!
