As designed, it sucks. Used it today suck the fluid from my brake fluid reservoir and it didn't disappoint. It will seap a little fluid out of the tip, but by the design it's not meant to retain everything. You need to suck, invert and dump, so be mindful of what fluids you put in. So far seems to be good quality. Couldn't beat the prices for a good suck.

Original review below this revised review.The seller offered to replace the item with one that is not broken. Per Amazon rules I am not revising my review and rating due to the above average customer support but due to the fine performance of this pump. I received it yesterday and am very happy with it.OriginalThere’s a serrated ring inside to keep the rigid tube from falling out once you install it. On mine the ring came out and now the tube isn’t secure. I think I’ll try an o-ring in its place

I needed to replace a coolant housing on my Encore but needed to remove the antifreeze. This did the trick but it will leak out if not careful when removing the hose from what you're pulling out. And the plunger will pull in so you need to hold the plunger while trying to pull it out which is gonna leak some. Did the job and I'm fairly satisfied. Might want to practice with a tub of water first. Practice helps.

I used this suction device for removing Power steering fluid from the reservoir's. After 2 uses the oring swells and then the seringe is very hard to pull for suction. Became so hard to use that it's in my tool cabinet. Not sure if I will throw away or try and resurrect it. I cleaned it well from the first use and still became stiff.

I'll be keeping it cause I need it.Oring that came in pump are not good I replaced them with spare in package.There was oil in the pump.As I said looks used.

The quality seems good, but with the inner O-ring in place, it was near impossible to move the piston to draw in fluid. That O-ring appeared loose, so I tried the spare in the box and it was no better. With just the outer O-ring in place, it did function well and without leaking; but as another reviewer noted, some strength is needed to get the piston to move to apply suction.

The cylinder narrows toward the discharge end making it nearly impossible to move the plunger the last 15% of its stroke.Next use I’ll remove one of the O-rings to see if that helps.

The fitting didn’t come installed and there is no way for me to do it and not customer support. Will need to find another same fitting myself to try and salvage this.
