My 80+ year old mother wanted to move pieces of wood from a tree that was cut down. The pieces are too heavy, so we got this to help her (since it doesn’t do any good to tell her not to do what she decided she wants to do!) She has used it two different days and said that it is amazing how much easier it is to move the pieces (that she probably shouldn’t be moving by herself, but whatever.) If she is finding it this helpful, then I think others (who probably should be doing this kind of work) would find it helpful, too. It was easy to put together and is sturdy.

Easy assembly works well and worth the price.

Used it on some heavy logs, which were on a slope. It was able to lift and hold the log in place. Even when if got pulled down the slope by the log, it didn't bend and held the log. There was a lot of commentary that the nuts would come loose. These bolts do not loosen, perhaps they installed the bolts by hand and didn't tighten. Used Loctite where the handle screws in, and put yellow (for visibility as well) duct tape. Holds no problem.I wish the bottom bar had some teeth to hold small logs in place. I might do that on my own.

I really had high hopes for this after reading the reviews. Maybe I got a bad one. I was attracted to this Cant Hook/Log Lifter because it appeared to be sturdily built with a braced lift leg and I especially needed the wide range of log diameters it can handle. As you can see from the photo. I attempted to roll a fairly large oak log with a diameter of about 15". It bit in firmly to the wood and had a solid purchase. Due to the size of the log, I had to put my weight into it and the log did begin to roll. My body strength/weight is all I used and the handle immediately bent at the screw joint. I was worried that any more attempt to pull the log over would have broken the handle completely at the joint and dumped me flat on my back possibly causing injury to myself. As you can see from the photos, the threaded plug in the handle pipe does not seem to be welded and I cannot begin to tell how it is attached other than a possible press fit. As you can see from the gap between the plug and handle, it is not a tight enough fit. This really needs to be a welded joint. The rust you see is how it arrived out of the box. I originally attributed that to humidity, but who knows? Also, the paint chips easily. The photo is from the back edge of the grip arm and seems to be due to rust on the metal. The only thing I can think is that the arm flexed and paint popped off due to the metal not being clean before painting. That really didn't bother me too much as this is a tool for rough outdoor use, but it is an indication of production quality.. Bottom line is it failed on me immediately and this is not a safe tool. I thought about straightening out the plug and welding it into place myself, but decided this should not have to be done by the purchaser and I wanted my money back. This is only adequate for light weight small logs which is a far cry from what they show it being used on in the advertisement. I will be returning it, biting the bullet and spending more money on a better quality tool. You get what you pay for. It's really a shame as it is well designed, just not well built. Very disappointed.

I love it. Logs are heavy for a one-man lift a lot of times. This unit hugs it and allows me to adjust it or flat-out drag it where I want it to be. Also, it doubles as a saw horse right in place.

My husband absolutely loves this. It arrived on a Monday midday and he had already assembled and had moved and cut up some logs. It's well made and easy to put together. He is impressed with how well it is and what it cost.

I removed the lower part and now just use it as a log peavy cant hook to rotate logs for milling.I use my mini excavator for moving and lifting logs. It can't lift 800 pound logs even at the end, don't even bother lifting at the middle. The two part handle keeps unscrewing by itself and has to be tightened often.Other than that, it is sturdy and easy to use despite being heavier than a wood handle.

If you get tired of using wedges to remove a saw from a log, this is what you need. To use the Timberjack, you simply push the bottom of the Timberjack against the log you wish to cut. Simply let the to arm of the Timberjack fall over the top of the log. Simply push down on the handle and the log is lifted into the air. Cut your log to the left of the arm on the Timberjack. The cut log falls to the ground and you move the Timberjack further down the fallen log. No more pinched bar and chains in logs.I wish I had know about this item years ago.
