About this item

  • Florida Standard. The gimlet point allows for superior penetrating into hard materials. Great for anchoring items to concrete, brick, block, wood or other masonry materials. White ceramic coating exceeds 500/hrs salt spray resistance
  • An externally threaded, hardened screw with a double lead, consisting of alternating raised and lowered threads with notches cut into the raised threads, and a gimlet-shaped, nail-type point. Cuts its own threads when used in concrete, block or brick. Eliminates the need for an anchor when used in light or medium-duty applications. When used in concrete, it can be removed and re-driven into the same hole. Special carbide bits are recommended for driving concrete screws into masonry.
  • Some applications include anchoring the following to masonry: hurricane shutters, electrical junction boxes, wooden beams, plywood, exterior insulation, metal flashing, thresholds. The Ruspert finish is a ceramic coating that also allows these fasteners to be used in pressure-treated lumber. Hole should be of a depth equal to the required embedment plus 1/2”.
  • Concrete screws should be installed a minimum of ten inch apart between each other. They have an advantage over most other types of masonry anchors in that they can be installed close to the edge of the material in which they are installed.
  • Check the Item Description to see if a drill is included as well.

I was securing my Florida pool enclosure to the ground after many of the older screws were rusting away and coming out of the ground as it was built more than 18 years ago, and this happening was leaving the enclosure unsecured. I was hesitant ordering these but figured I had nothing to lose by ordering them. I have to say pleasantly surprised I used about 60 of these to secure my metal pool enclosure to the concrete. No problems whatsoever! Easy to do and I used my cordless impact driver. Didn't have to pre drill anything except a small hole in the metal to get it started. (used separate cordless drill with very small bit). I was shocked how great these are (seem like original to me!) and I would buy these again in a heartbeat if needed. Thank you for a superb product!

Not the right number of screws! Not 50 screws in the package.I ordered this two times, and each time I did not have the proper number of screws. The first time we received 31 screws and the second time we received 20 screws.

Exactly what I was looking for! I was unable to find at walk in store x5 places. I used them to secure the headers for hurricane shutters and they look great next to the white window trim. I would recommend!

They work better than the brand sold in the big box home centers ( if you can find this size in stock at those stores), and the price is a fraction of what they charge. I'm delighted with them. No problems at all.

Love the way this faster grips into concrete. No Problem stripping, you know it's going to hold under pressure. Just the way it drives in with the impact gun, says "that ain't going nowhere" Definitely better engineerd than the blue screws. Recommend for storm shutters install.

The problem with blue screws is they are obvious, not something you want to see on white signs. This saves time by not having to paint screws. flanged head doesn't require a extra washer. Wish I had found these sooner.

...paying $7.01 for 10 seems too much, considering you can get 100 for $14.93. I would have gotten the 100 count but I only needed less than 10.
