I'm using this UV light for cyanotypes, and it works *beautifully*. It's handy that I don't have to plan my cyanotypes around a sunny day anymore - This UV light stand is a perfect sun stand-in for "sun printing" at night. The light folds down flat when not in use - it's easy to slide it onto a shelf, and it takes up very little real estate.I like that it's ready to go right out of the box and the stand is nice and wide, adding to stability. The power of the UV light is a hefty 50 watts, and I've also used it for curing UV resin.Really glad to have this UV light in my maker "arsenal."

Its a good design, the foldability makes it compact, not a hassle to set up. I just started playing around with cyanotypes, and this has been a good starter lamp. Id say it works well for 8x11" sizes, and you'll get better results playing with the height of exposure and the angle that the light hits the print. My best exposures have been from doing shorter times, but rotating180 to repeat. Could use it a bit stronger, though.

I realize this lamp is intended for screenprinting but, I have to say, it works pretty darn good for curing UV resin! I saw this thing and thought "Would it work? Should I try it? Why wouldn't it?" and I'm so glad I got it! I ordered it specifically for curing my UV resin and it works awesome! I love the timer on it, I can set it for EXACTLY the time I need and the fact that it has a fan to help keep the lamp cool eases worries of the lamp over-heating during extended exposures. I also love the adjustability of the entire thing and I can cure larger pieces easier. Two things you need to be aware of.....1. There is NO Off switch, to stop an exposure, you MUST unplug the unit.....and 2. Timer display is SECONDS only, not minutes, so there's a bit of math involved.....just a heads up, these things are minor but important to know before purchasing. 5 stars and two thumbs up! I'm diggin' it! Maybe someday I'll get around to trying my hand at screenprinting and this thing can do double duty 😂.

Now I got this for curing 3D resin prints so I am not using this as technically designed but I am using it to cure resin 3D prints with it in a microwave I took the microwave generator out of and then cut a hole in the top for the light to go in. very handy light though and a lot better than the one I was previously using and it is actually very nice and may be a redneck way of doing it but my friend bought a new microwave and I got the old one for free. Now I have had some problems with it though that started before I started using it the way I am and right out of the box it made a very strange old tube light in a horror movie buzzing noise coming from the fan. it has stayed the same and not gotten any worse or any better so I assume that they all do that its just very noisy to have on my desk all the time. Also the stand it came with had some problems keeping the light up for long periods of time unless I torqued the bolts down so tight that no matter how much I tried I couldn't get the light to move so its very annoying to have to get a wrench out to adjust the light but I left it alone running for a few hours to see how it went and it slowly just dropped down over those few hours. also the timer control screen one of the lines on the display does not work some sometimes it displays an A instead of an 8 as an example. its not really a big problem just annoying quality control didn't catch that because it really is a good light and I know it wasn't from shipping as the box was in perfect shape and really packaged well with lots of bubble wrap.

This is just the right size for the small screens I use, fast exposure but with a forgiving range.Since there wasn’t a dedicated “off†switch, I added a plug in inline switch - very handy.

This is only good for cyanotypes 5x7 and smaller. The light fall off is significant beyond 5x7.

Real well made. It's a great tool. I got it only because some of my larger UV cure resin projects needed a wider curing light. Asking price was $20 at the time.... I didn't expect much. I was surprised at the quality and capability. Not being into cyanotypes I cannot judge it in that capacity, or compare it to any others in that field.. But as to UV curing lamps aimed at resins, this thing is head and shoulders above anything I know of. Big, bright, powerful, timer, adjustable stand, folds to a neat little package... What more could I ask for.
