I bought these because it was cheaper than buying 2x2s plus you don't have to cut them. I made a simple jig to get good spacing and installed them on a Saturday afternoon using a magnetic level to ensure each one was plum. Very simple job and it looks great. I did scratch a few when my drill slipped and immediately took off the powder coating. I suspect I'll need to occasionally take one down and hit it with some black Rust-Oleum. For $70 you can't expect much better. Love that it came with black screws.

The quality is very disappointing. They looked nice, were easy to install, but we haven't had them up long at all and one bent and is rusting. Tried to find contact information for seller hoping for a replacement because description states there is a 10 year warranty (we've only had them installed a month or two) but even Amazon couldn't figure out how to help me contact the seller.

Some of the cheaper balusters have sharp edges or the paint job is really poor. All of these are very well made. I have not had any issues and they are holding up. They are thick enough that kids cannot bend them.

These balusters are easy to install on a new build deck project. The paint is a matte, black and matches the handrails perfectly
