Although melt and pour soaps can contain a variety of synthesised substances ranging from foaming agents and alcohol-based creamers to solvents, these chemical elements liquefy the melt and pour soap so that it takes on its desired shape. Cold process soaps typically contain less glycerin than melt and pour soaps, making them more susceptible to drying out the skin.

I liked the ease of using this to make soap. You cut it up, melt , stir, add scents, and pour into molds and let sit. It was unscented so I added my own. I use this soap for my face and it seems gentle. The ingredients were listed like a list of chemicals so I can't tell you if it is natural or paraben free or whatever else. I wish I had the packaging to list the ingredients that were not something easy to understand but it was still a fun simple project and for the money I got a lot of soap.

I tried this company's melt & pour goat's milk soap base. The ingredients list showed that goat's milk was the main ingredient in the product, which has not been the case for other previously purchased competitor's products. After making my soaps, I am happy to say that the soap had a nice lather (even with other extras added) and left our skin baby soft. Will definitely purchase again and highly recommend this product!

I was not pleased with the smell. It smelled like it was spoiled. I was not able to smell the fragrance I added to it. Also, it sweated. I never have that issue with other bases I’ve used before. I processed it exactly as I always process my soaps.
