I expected it to be cheap quality i was surprised how well they held up and how well they worked.

So far so good, but...Wish these unwrapped a bit easier so that you could peel back some of the worn sandpaper and expose the clean stuff beneath it. Worked on a few, but not consistantly enough. Also wish these came with dual length mandrels

Slightly less than 1/4" collet will not lock down on it and can't get the job done. I locked down the 1/4" collet and the mandrels slid in and out. Looking now for mandrel only....

JR Tools sent me the missing arbors... received them today. There was a flaw in messaging. I will definitely use them again.

I don’t want to be too critical of these sanding cones because they are designed for a specific use, and advertised that way - they are for use on auto engines. That said, sanding is sanding. Most of these cones are already tapered. I would prefer to buy a kit which has more straight cones. They naturally wear down into cones as you use them. Other than that observation, this set got me through making a set of handrails from mild steel/cast iron for our front porch. They reach into corners well, and last a decent amount of time. You could do worse.

The mandrels are far shorter than in the pictures and are essentially useless for what I need
