I was hoping this adapter would work as I bought a new telephoto lens for my camera and it wouldn't fit. So I did do some hope and pray as I found that the lens on the camera says 52 mm and when I broke out my caliper it measured 52 mm so I figured that was good. So then I measured the other as 42 mm and then ordered this one. It did fit just fine. The price was worth it and now I have another camera lens I can take pictures with. I do hope this helps.

It's a step up ring, it works perfectly and I haven't had my filters get stuck to it yet so I would say it's made out of solid material as well!

Good adapter for handycams and DSLRs. Fits up snug and accepted other accessories perfectly. Allows me to use filters and a lens cap now.
