This is one of the most versatile lasers for a low price (under 65$, but prices vary base on exchange rates). It is nearly eye safe, scattered reflections from surfaces are ok, directly pointing it into your eye or using a mirror is not. Green (532nm) output and easy standard tripod threading on the metal baseplate gives flexible, secure mountings. Shown here is the 3d printed cylindrical lens mount projecting a planar beam for Particle Image Velocimetry work. This setup does the work of a 5-7,000$ laser system for a total price of under 75$. Recommended.
