Your cart is empty.Biots are the tough, interlocking barbs on the leading edge of a bird's first flight feather. Many tiers are familiar with using biots as split tails (many stonefly nymph imitations) or as downwings (Prince Nymph), but fewer people take advantage of the wonderful properties of biots for body material. Biot bodies are tough, slender,and have a wonderful, natural-looking segmentation. Because biots change in width and thickness from tip to butt, biot bodies tend to be naturally tapered. They have many decorative uses especially in millinery and craft applications.These feathers are long and stiff. You can curly them like how you would curl a ribbon to create the spiky look in the picture.

I used these feathers in my Daughters PROM Fascinator Hair Clips. Hard to see in the photo, but just behind the beaded emblem, I looped these feathers to fan out. It's the perfect addition! Turned out awesome and would recommend. Tons in a package so the remaining will go in the craft room "Feathers" tote!

I didn’t use these feathers for making fishing lures, I used them to add to a hat I bought for a 1920s event I was going to. The first picture is the “beforeâ€. The other 2 are “afterâ€. I got loads of compliments on that hat!I like how easy they were to work with, and I like how you can make them curl with nothing more than your fingernail. (Kind of like curling the ribbon for gifts)Great product and very inexpensive for the quality and quantity you receive. I recommend!

Great feather biots. I needed to create an original version of an old fashioned German feather tree. These biots were excellent for that purpose. Long, sturdy, and consistent color throughout.

The only reason I gave 3 stars is BC they are not what I expected. Its mostly my fault for not paying more attention though, I purchased them for a dream catcher I was making and they are very thin and not very noticeable on the dream catcher. While the light purple color is great and shipping was super fast, I would not purchase again.
