This open head steel drum is supplied with 12 gauge bolt type locking ring closure, bolt, nut and gasket cover. This 55-gallon steel drum is designed, manufactured, and certified to meet UN requirements for hazardous materials under DOT 49 CFR. The UN Ratings are 1A2/Y1.8/200 & 1A2/X400/S. This drum came exactly as described, clean newly painted and the top was easily removed with a ratchet .. I am using it as a burn barrel and have yet to, I want to drill vents in the bottom first, but anticipate no issues with this fine product. well worth the money.

WOO WEE !!! can't wait until my husband see's it ! It came super fast. looks like it's very well made. My husband has been wanting a new burn barrel for awhile and for whatever reason never bought a new one. They are hard to find so happy to see Amazon had one. Sometimes my husband is hard to buy things for Christmas. So I am a happy wife . I am so pleased to find him something he can use and something he has been wanting. About the barrel: it came in pretty good condition, but the description said it was unlined. It definitely has a tan lining. Unsure if I can carry out my plans to make a smoker out of it. It also took a long time to ship. Status stayed at “label printed†for a long time.
