These sketchbooks have nicely weighted paper with the appropriate texture for drawing. They aren't too slick like computer paper would be but have a slight roughness. The paper is heavy that it's not going to rip or bleed through. The size is nice and small without being too small. The the heavy cardboard backing makes it easier to use for drawing traveling. We bought these along with some really nice colored pencils to include in the Christmas child boxes that ges sent by Samaritan's purse

For the price and speed of shipping (and that they’re usually available online), this set of sketch pads is awesome. Kids love them; we keep a few around the house. Smooth paper, nice weight / thickness, and a great portable size that’s good for trips, backpacks, etc. Nice design, too, they’re durable!

I bought these for my kids to use to draw on and color while on the road. They are the perfect size to hold on there. Laps and the paper thickness is perfect. The erase easily and hold up very well. They hold up with water colors, pencils and liquid markers.

Overall this is a great sketchbook for a wonderful price. I purchased as a gift and because it is a two-pack was able to split it and give to two people. The pages are a little more narrow than expected, but great for drawing. The paper is a good thickness and erases well. Small enough to pack with you.
