We have this really old lamp and was able to switch the old cable for the new one. It works great and looks beautiful.

My wife has a decorative lamp and the cord was shot. This was the perfect replacement because I needed a longer than average cord due to the lamp being very high off of the ground. Excellent quality and easy to install. The lamp works perfectly now and the cord looks and functions fantastic. I would certainly recommend it and buy it again if I needed another.

This cord didn't work. Unfortunately, by the time I got around to the lamp rewiring project for which I bought this cord, the return window had closed. So please understand that this review doesn't reflect interactions w/the seller, just the manufacturer.1) When you first receive the item, have someone experienced use a multimeter or circuit tester to see if it works. Then test it with the on-cord switch turned one turn. NOTE: Potential for electric shock! If you don't know how to do this, please ask a professional; I can't be responsible for the mistakes of folks like me who learn from YouTube. If the cord works, then:2) If you have a lamp with a narrow cord route (small diameter hole in base, narrow thread pipe) & previously used a standard vinyl cord, this fabric-wrapped cord might be challenging to thread up through the lamp parts, as it's thicker. Wrap the wire end firmly w/removable tape so that it doesn't get stuck along the way.I got the whole complex vintage table lamp rewired, socket, shell, & all, & then found out that the wire was dead. So now I know...test first, right out of the package.

Product was not working so we did some troubleshooting. We opened the on/off switch part and found cord not connected (see picture) Hope this helps anyone having the same issue. Still does not work....sending it back !!!
