Q1: How to buy a replacement battery for your laptop?
Method 1: Use System Information to find your laptop model
- Step 1: Press Windows + R to open Run window.
- Step 2: Input "msinfo32" in the empty box and click OK to open System Information.
- Step 3: Keep in the System Summary section, and you will find the System Model item in the right pane.
Method 2: Remove Battery from Laptop to find your laptop battery part number
- Step 1: Switch off the laptop and unplug the power cable in case of electric shock
- Step 2: Remove the back panel with the screwdriver. You should to this with care avoiding any harm to the laptop components.
- Step 3: Disconnect the cable connected to the battery and then take out the battery. After that, you can check the specifications of your battery.
Q2: Why the laptop does not recognize the battery？
- Could be caused by battery loose. Please re-install the battery and make sure that the battery cable and the motherboard interface are tightly inserted.
- Maybe due to conductive material damaged which the laptop motherboard and battery anode and cathode contact position, you can try to confirm it with your original battery.
- Check whether the battery drive is in normal condition, if not, download the corresponding driver software to update.
Install A New Battery:
- You need to turn off your laptop and disconnect the power.
- Disconnect the connection between the old battery and the motherboard to avoid unnecessary damage caused by disassembling the battery. Then unscrew the old battery screws one by one and carefully save each screw.
- Remove the old battery, carefully install the new battery on the battery case, screw in the screw, and connect the wiring of the new battery.

Battery was easy to install and worked like a charm! My G3 laptop works like it was brand new. To calibrate the battery, charge it to 100% then drain it down to 20%. Charge again and repeat 3 times over.

My dell G5 5587 battery wasn't taking a full charge and it was only lasting about 15 minutes. This was a perfect drop in replacement and the included screw driver made it a 10 minute job. You will need to reuse the battery cable attached to the old battery.

I bought two batteries from this supplier. One seems to be working and the other will not hold a charge. My original Dell battery wouldn't last more than 30 minutes, so I bought a replacement. I didn't get around to installing the new battery for a couple months because I was using the PC at a desk and wasn't in a hurry to change out the battery. But when I did, boy was I surprised! I would like to send it back and see just how good the service response is. Not sure how since I tossed some of the packaging.

Easy to install. Just take the back cover off the computer, unscrew a mounting plate, and disconnect the wire. Make sure to discharge any static electricity. This battery is my second from owning the laptop in six years.
