I Bought this to use to put a thermal switch for electric fans inline in my upper radiator hose. Barbed aluminum, slight oversized so it seal securely in the hose. Lightweight aluminum construction. My only complaint is the 1/8 NPT hole feels brittle. Just keep that in mind when adding whatever you are to that hole. Over tighten it and you will be drilling and tapping a new hole!Bottom line- will be buying another for a different project I have!n
