Recently, I got this 5lb bag of fiberglass for a small concrete repair project around my house. I'd noticed some hairline cracks appearing in the concrete patio, and wanted to address them before they got worse. Mixing these 3/4 inch fibers into the mortar was pretty simple. They dispersed well and didn't clump together. I just finished the job, so I can’t speak to long-term results yet, but the patching process itself felt more robust with the fibers in the mix. The patched areas seem more cohesive and less likely to crack again. It definitely feels like it’s added some much-needed strength.

The 3/4-inch chopped fibers mixed easily with the cement mortar, distributing evenly throughout the mix. It noticeably improved the strength of the concrete, and I can already see a difference in how well it resists cracks and seepage. The 5lb bag was more than enough for my project, and I appreciate how easy it was to handle.

Fiberglass is fine, just what I needed. But the 12 emails asking to review is frustrating. Product 5 starts, 1 star for pestering.

Is this for an outdoor concrete slab that will be a patio. It’s easy to mix in and trowels fine. Using about 1 pound fiber (1/5 of the bag) not using an exact measurement for every 60 bag which I think is a little less than recommended, but there isn’t gonna be any significant weight on this patio as it is for people and a small pergola.

These are an excellent fiberglass concrete reinforcer added to any of the concrete projects. It is quite simple in application since what a technician does is merely mix it in the concrete. After mixing, it strengthens, as it adds durability without complicating processes. The most interesting thing with these is that it dries relatively faster to give you time, thereby smoothing out very well. It will finally appear smooth, professional, with no disrupting visible fibers on your concrete surface. This is the perfect reinforcer that anyone would want to give an effortless performance boost to their concrete. Highly recommended for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts!

You get a lot of fiberglass in 5 pounds. I make a lot of concrete lawn ornaments. I can add glass to the entire concrete batch or just use glass in areas that need extra strength. Its good to have reinforcement options. Sometimes I use wire mesh, sometimes fiberglass mesh, and sometimes just fiberglass added to the concrete mix. Great product and I am happy with it.

This is great for folks who want to mix up their own custom batch of concrete. Yes, they have premixed concrete with fiberglass additive, but maybe you want something with a higher PSI and still want the crack-resistant properties of a glass fiber reinforced mix.5lbs doesn't sound like a lot, but if you've ever handled fiberglass insulation, you know how light this stuff can be. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm guessing it can also be used with resin to produce a nice, strong, lightweight composite material.

I got this fiberglass for a concrete project. It was mixed into the concrete easily, and extra strength was added to the final result. Cracks and seepage have been noticeably reduced, leaving the surface more solid and reliable.
