Compared to other flexible couplers I've found on Amazon,those were properly centered andthe clamps were precise enough to make the whole setup wobble much less.YMMV - always buy twice as much stuff from CN that you need and return half of it.The purpose of those in my application is to decouple the steppers from lead-screwsand thus allow for a larger margin of error for the other parts of the machine.I've also put an 8mm metal ball into the 8mm opening to decouple the motor and the lead-screw even more.Those couplers need other parts to work well,like top and bottom pillow blocks and Oldham de-couplers.And of course sufficient guides like linear-rails or vertical shafts with LMU bearings.I would go with at least 2 guides for each screw or just 2 for 2 if joined by a bar.

This was the only flex 5mm to 8mm coupling I could find that used split clamp-style attachments rather than set screws, which can mar the shafts. The couplings were meticulously machined - accurate and coaxial diameters, clean kerfs and chamfers, smooth threads. Very good quality - will smooth out any mis-alignment with your shafts.

The sizing on 8mm was too tight. I should have had sufficient clearance with a properly produced product based on measurements I took with my micrometer. Bad product.

One coupler came with no set screws. However the one that I received did fit the Ender 3 V2
