I wanted stainless steel trays to use for clean and easy to clean preparation of 3D prints in a SLA printer. These trays come wrapped in a greasy, graphite-ish shrink wrap that is impossible to remove and is stuck into the rounded turned edge of the tray. I have no idea what the material is and would have to worry about contamination both from the film and the residue. Isopropyl alcohol 99% does not remove the grease, I would have to use steel wool to try and get the majority of the plastic film off and even then I would have no confidence that the trays are actually just steel and don't have flecks of the plastic and grease captured in the turned edge. In this regards they are utterly useless to me.Perhaps there is some application where you care for an easy to clean serializable tray where you don't care about this kind of contaminant, but for home 3D printing it's aweful.

Upon opening these trays, I noticed that they were individually wrapped in plastic wrap. The plastic wrap was almost melted on the trays, making it impossible to get the wrapping off. Furthermore, it had a VERY stinky oily substance on it that is almost impossible to wash off. I do not recommend this product at all.

might be great... IF I could get the plastic film off of them... but, since I can't, they are useless... (and yes, I've gotten many surgical trays with this type of film on them before, never have I had such a hard time - the wrap on the edges just doesn't come off....)

Mine came with the plastic melted on, gunky adhesive residue. You can clean it off with an oil-based solvent. I used coconut oil so it wouldn't leave an industrial smell, but WD40 would probably work as well.
