Measurement Tool for Measuring Gap Width or Thickness

USAGE METHOD:

(1) Wipe the measuring surface of the feeler gauge with a clean cloth. Do not measure when the feeler gauge is stained with oil or metal chips, otherwise the accuracy of the measurement results will be affected.

(2) Insert the feeler gauge into the measured gap, pull the feeler gauge back and forth, and feel a slight resistance, indicating that the gap value is close to the value marked on the feeler gauge; If the resistance is too large or too small when pulling, the clearance value is less than or greater than the value marked on the feeler gauge.

(3) When measuring and adjusting the clearance, first select the feeler gauge that meets the clearance regulations and insert it into the measured clearance, then pull the feeler gauge while adjusting until a slight resistance is felt. At this time, the value marked by the feeler gauge is the measured clearance value.

Universal Standard SAE and Metric Offset Valve Thickness Gauge

Feeler gauge, also known as micrometer or thickness gauge, is one of the measuring instruments used to check the gap. The cross section is a right triangle, and there is a scale on the inclined edge. The length of the short edge is directly expressed on the inclined edge by using the acute angle, so that the size of the seam can be directly read out.

Before using the feeler gauge, the dirt and dust on the feeler gauge and workpiece must be removed. When in use, one or several pieces can be overlapped and inserted into the gap.

Tips:

(1) Before using the caliper, confirm whether it has been calibrated and within the validity period of calibration.

(2) It is not recommended to bend the feeler gauge violently during measurement, or insert the feeler gauge into the tested gap with a large force, otherwise the accuracy of the measuring surface of the feeler gauge or the surface of parts will be damaged.

(3) The number of feeler gauge pieces shall be selected according to the clearance of the joint surface.

(4) High temperature workpieces cannot be measured.

(5) Pay attention to the correct method when using the feeler gauge (the measured gap must be perpendicular to the measured surface, and the measured fault difference must be leveled).

(6) When reading, you can read directly according to the value marked on the plug scale.

(7) Regular maintenance is recommended.

(8) After use, the feeler gauge shall be wiped clean and coated with a layer of industrial vaseline to prevent rust.

(9) When storing, do not put the feeler gauge under heavy objects to avoid damaging the feeler gauge.

I recently purchased the 5pcs Feeler Gauge 0.2 Thickness Feeler Gauge and have been impressed with its performance. The gauges are made of high-quality stainless steel and have a precise thickness of 0.2mm, making them ideal for a variety of applications. The gauges are well-marked and easy to read, allowing for accurate measurements every time. The compact size of the set makes it easy to store and transport, and the sturdy case provides good protection. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for reliable and accurate feeler gauges.

I haven’t had any leveling issues with my prints since I started using these. Much easier than trying to level it with a sheet of paper.

Using these for tramming the bed on my Ender 3 Pro, works just like paper but easier and more reliable! My only complaint is they have a very gross chemical-ey smell that rubs off on your fingers.

I bought these to level the bed on my 3D printer. They are very accurate and made leveling faster and less of a headache. They were super cheap and great value. They have a nice flex to them and are easy to use and hold onto

Do yourself a favor and quit using paper. Wash these thoroughly and treat like the build plate.Don't squish, get it so that it slides under and a move otherwise would be too tight or loose.Don't expect to get it in 1 lap around the bed, you should only accept the settings and print if you moved the knobs under a quarter turn the last lap.You will be pleasantly surprised with how awesome things look with this one change.

3 Feeler Gauge, 3 different thickness, all labele the same.I used the thinness one of the 3 to calibrate my 3d print after realizing why my print failed. Works now.

Since I suck at downloading firmware for my 3d printers everytime I got a BL touch I just bought these 😆 They are the perfect height to set your nozzle from the build plate. All I do is go to each corner and adjust the bed springs until I feel a little pressure from the nozzle. It's a easy temporary solution until I get better acquainted with firmware and not Breckinridge my printers with it 🤣

use this to set you hot end on the printer and it is at perfect high (at least thats the case in 3 printers I have)I ordered the pack just to have spare.

I have never used a bed leveling probe for my 3D printer, and with this I feel I will never need one either, especially not using a glass bed.Leveling the bed is made super easy with this.
