For the price it's really hard to complain about these. They work out of the box certainly, but if you're willing to put in 20~30minutes of work, they can be greatly improved. First, they are far too pointy. The tip is so fine actually that it can thread itself through the weave of paracord by accident. This requires a great deal of care when feedimg it through a knot or braid. Put the jib in a drill, don't tighten the chuck too much, and round over the tip just a bit with a file. I found diamond needle files worked really well, but the more time you are willing to spend getting the surface super smooth again, the happier you're going to be later. You may also want to knock off the hard edge between the point and the shank. This really takes very little time or care, and makes the jib gladly slide between cords without catching on threads.Second, for typical paracord, the threaded hole is a bit small, and the threads are not very deep or sharp. Re-taping the hole to a larger size with the same TPI will make it easier to fit and hold stronger. This is quite involved, if you don't care to, it will only mean you need the end of the cord to be smaller and getting a good bite will be trickier. Still very much possible. As I said, they do work out of the box, but some Finishing can greatly improve your experience. For the price, it's worth a bit of your time.

Purchased these to make daisy chains with 7/64 amsteel and they work great. They made the process so much easier.

Price and quality of these fids is good. Unfortunately, they have too small an opening to fit 550 paracord.

These are durable and easy to attach to the paracord. The problem I have with them is that they are not tapered enough. The point widens over too short of a distance. Also, some of the points are sharp. They need to be slightly rounded, otherwise, they pierce the paracord as you work them through a wrap.
