Pretty much as weak as those tempered glass screen protectors you put on phones. The extra outer plastic doesn’t help much in terms of structure rigidity. If anything the inner data layer which weaker delaminates first before the outer plastic cracks. The disc doesn’t really flex that much either. A slight bend like 3-6 degrees will snap it in half. As for my experience I was disappointed to find out that macOS finalize the burn by default so I was only able to put a folder name “test write†on disc and the rest of the 4.7gb went unusable.

I’ve been using Verbatim archival gold DVD’s for a long time.. Also I’ve been using the same DVD burner software and the DVD player for several years with no issues until I received this batch. I believe this particular batch is defective. On the box it says 4.7 GB space available but you can’t burn more than 3.9 to 4.0 GB of data. Furthermore, I just discovered that my DVD player doesn’t recognize the discs. I’ve been using the same DVD burner and the player with no issues until I received these blank DVD’s. I’m in the process of sending unopened second box back to the seller. I will never buy again.
