I actually got this to mount on top of a pergola to charge a battery to run lights and charge a phone or tablet. Install was easy and it works great for charging. Planning to get one or two more. Much cheaper than adding electrical to that corner of the yard!

I regret this purchase, as the solar panel in full sunlight barely charges my Arlo Pro camera, and then drains the charge at night. How can a solar panel DRAIN a battery???!!! This is the worst product I have ever purchased from Amazon. BUYER BEWARE! Deserves ZERO stars!

I connected the solar panel I bought to a Zumimall wireless outdoor security camera that I bought from Amazon in 2021.This was the first solar panel I had ever bought (other than solar-powered lights with the solar panel already integrated), so I wasn't sure what to expect. *-Installation couldn't have been much simpler: One end of the 9.8ft cable that comes in the box is hardwired directly to the bottom of the solar panel. The other end of the cable is a male USB-C connector that can be connected directly to your device or to the supplied USB-C to USB Micro-B adapter (with the supplied plastic protector), then to your device. Connect the cable to your device & put the solar panel in the light, & that's it. There was nothing to configure or set for my camera; it just immediately started charging.I deducted one star because I've only had the solar panel for a few days, so I can't comment on the longevity of the device.* - This is a budget solar panel, so the instructions/manual were kind of limited.- MOUNTINGThe only issue I had with the solar panel was finding a suitable place to mount it. I had a camera already attached to the house, so there weren't a ton of options for mounting the solar panel & I didn't want to relocate the camera. Amazon sells a gutter mount & an extension for mounting these types of solar panels, but unfortunately, neither would work for my application. Not being sure how much I could shade the panel & if it would still work, I opted for mounting the solar panel in an area on the roof next to the gutter, which is in direct sunlight for most of the day. So far, it is working great!

I purchased this kit for my Arlo essential HD cameras. At first, I was a little hesitant because I didn't see anything specific that these would work for my camera. They do! Fairly efficient as well, given the time of the year and limited sunlight. One thing I was happy about was the default connection is a USB-C. I thought that it used the micro USB and had a type C adapter. I was happy to see this. I hope this solar panel lasts.

These little solar chargers are great and keep my outdoor cameras charged up. No taking down to recharge anymore.
