THE TRURANCH STORY
Our story began in the Andean region of Colombia and traveled its way through the mountainous green lands of Brazil and across the ranches of Mexico. What started as a small family-owned business, tactfully grew into the craftsmanship of one-of-a-kind dog chews.
We carefully source quality ingredients and combine them with our proprietary formulations to develop and redefine the way we care for and treat our deserving canine families.

- Rawhide is the entire hide of the cow containing multiple layers of tissue and fibers.
- Rawhide chews are composed of tightly linked protein fiber as shown in the image above.
- This may lead to poor digestibility and potential intestinal blockage.
TruRanch Collagen
TruRanch Chews uses animal proteins in our proprietary and patented manufacturing process. When hydrolyzed the protein fibers and amino acids break down for easy digestion and absorption.
- Beefhide protein fibers are hydrolyzed, for better absorption & digestibility.

I gave these collagen roll treats to three dogs: two small dogs and one medium sized dog. They all loved these treats very much and would not at all stop chewing on such after I gave them to them. They also would not obey my commands while they had such. Their focus was entirely on chewing these treats and protecting their treat from being taken. Each treat/roll lasted a different duration of time as follows:(a) a medium sized male dog quickly ate one of these rolls in about 10-12 minutes(b) a small male dog ate one of these rolls in about 15-20 minutes(c) a small female dog ate half of one of these rolls in about 20-25 minutes, and finished the entire roll in about 45 minutes.Given that the medium sized dog went through one of these rolls in about 10-12 minutes, I think larger dogs could quickly eat such in about 5-8 minutes or less. All of the dogs very much loved chewing on these rolls, so they apparently have a flavor, smell, and consistency that dogs very much love.One area of concern is that small shards of the material can break off from the roll and if a dog swallows such it could potentially result in injury, so it’s something to be cautious and mindful of.For the above reasons, because dogs love chewing on these very much, I do recommend them, especially for small dogs who will take much longer to consume these, but I also recommend that consumers use caution and carefully supervise their dogs while they are eating these treats to ensure that they don't get injured from these. The price these are currently being sold at (about $7 dollars) is extremely reasonable for these treats, making them a very affordable treat for dogs.

My girl loves a good chew, although I have to say these are more of a “crunchâ€. Regardless, she enjoyed them. She’s a 2 year old labradoodle, around 55 lbs. for reference, she was able to gobble one up in about 5 minutes or so. So, if you’re looking to keep your dog occupied for a while, these may not be your best option.She had no trouble getting them down though. They’re break up nicely, no jagged or dangerous bits like a rawhide. She was super excited every time she heard the bag crinkle. She was able to eat up 90% of the crumbs & they didn’t stain her bed. She’s also a bit allergy prone & they agreed with her. I appreciate that there was a bunch of junk/filler in the ingredients too! The cost is okay ($2.33/roll), but I usually like to buy these kind of things in bulk. I like that they offer a 9 count ($2.11/roll), as opposed to the 3 count I ordered.

For my large aggressive-chewer dog these weren't really a chew, he crunches them into little pieces and spends most of the time eating the little bits that fell on the floor - and even so they only last a few minutes. That said, the ingredients are pretty healthy and my dog seems to enjoy them a lot. The bag does say that these are for mid-range chewers, and I would agree with that.In the smaller bags the price isn't a great value for us since he finishes them so quickly, but they are less expensive than some other chews, so they're nice for dogs that savor them. The larger packs are much more affordable.

I knew I had to grab these the moment I saw them. My 100 pound chocolate Lab goes absolutely crazy for these collagen chews! They're a fantastic alternative to rawhide, which he loves, and they've quickly become his new favorite.Bonus points: they don't have any weird smell, they don't leave marks on my carpet, and they're actually good for him. If your dog isn't a super aggressive chewer, these will probably last even longer. He eats them in a few minutes unfortunately, so keep that in mind. But you can tell the excited reaction, that he loves them.Yeah, they're a little expensive, but seeing how much our dog enjoys them – and knowing he's getting collagen for his lab coat – makes it worth it. Plus, unlike rawhide, these don't upset his stomach. Total win! Five stars for sure.

A wonderful alternative to rawhide that my dog has absolutely come to love. They don't smell like anything, they don't stain my carpet, and they're healthy for her. It's a win in my book.
