I unexpectedly ran out of filters (that damn box has to be somewhere) so Amazon to the rescue. I got the box of 6 and got it quickly and safely. Installed the first one in my Brita filter easily. We in San Francisco get our water from a mountain lake so it tastes great even pre-filtering it. (We filter with Brita JIC.)

I was so glad to find these at such a good price! For the most part, they work very well, but I gave 4 stars due to having to shake the filter or run water through it upside to reactivate it on a couple of occasions. Overall, very pleased and will keep my subscription for delivery!

These do filter the water quite well. My only criticism is that they don't fit snugly enough not to slip out when I tip the jug too steeply. It's a minor issue, though, so I'm pretty sure I'll buy them again because they do work, and are much more cost-effective than Britta branded filters. As far as taste goes, the filtered water carries no taints (and I live in an area where the tap water tastes strongly of chlorine).
