I understand that "ankle socks" are now a popular item for girls...they like to wear them with their "Mary Janes." Gracious, that's taking me back decades...but I digress...This set of 6 pair of ankle socks with a ruffled top cuff comes in a nice variety of fall/winter colors which should pair well with a wide range of clothing. These are dress/casual-wear socks, not designed for athletics. The cuffs are able to be worn straight up OR you can fold them over. The material is soft with flat toe seams and seamless ankles. They are lightweight.They are made of "cotton" (which is not helpful in determining ahead of time if they will shrink or not if put into the dryer; the higher the cotton content, the more likely they are to shrink some the first time they are in the dryer's heat). There are no wash/dry recommendations that I can find anywhere on either the listing or the product.But the thing that upsets me the most is the vague sizing that gives no hint as to what size FOOT these socks will fit. They are merely marked "Large" which tells me very little. Reportedly this size will fit girls about ages 7-10 but in reality, kids are of widely different sizes at any age, including 7-10. If the item is to be sold in the US, the listing needs to list what US Shoe Sizing these socks will fit.The redeeming feature is that the current price is $10 for all 6 pairs. They likely are a good value so long as you can figure out the correct sizing and washing instructions on your own.
