I looked before I bought it, and it’s not listed. It’s made in china, who know what chemicals the plant base have.

We started use of aerogarden last year and these pods are great. Seeds take well to them and they are super absorbent. I find that we actually water less as they hold moisturer and don't evaporate as much. They fit our system well and work with the plastic frames we use. Quick results for the herbs we planted.Would recommend.

Theses are too small for aerogarden baskets, but are fine for start trays.

I replaced the grow sponges that came with my kitchen hydroponic herb garden with these and some herb seeds like thyme, oregano, and others and they turned out great.Good replacement sponges to get more use from my hydroponic herb garden.

These are a nice alternative to have, and a tremendous value to use these and your own seeds vs. buying AeroGarden's official seed pods. The only inconvenience is it can be a little finicky to get the remnants out of the plastic cage and then get this in the plastic cage. I would love the option of buying these with those cages already assembled.

I waited to do a review to see if anything actually grew. I have pepper plants coming up in this plugs. They are versatile. Love that you can use them directly into the soil. I like how they dirt doesn't get all muddy with these spongy dirt plugs. No mess. Highly recommended!
