I like the fact that it was stainless steel. I dislike the poor workmanship, sharp edges and difficulty to operate.

The shelf I received is NOT the shelf that is in the description and renderings. Similar, but not the same. The 2 support braces are different than illustrated and SUPER cheap, does not work smoothly. The supports are at the END of the shelf which makes reaching both release mechanisms at the same time difficult on the 5’ wide model. The description shows the supports inset from the ends, which makes releasing the mechanisms at the same time easier. The shelf is damaged (minor). This seller mentions minimal packaging (saving the environment). This is nothing more than a super thin metal shelf in a single wall, cardboard box. There is no packaging/cushioning whatsoever, so shipping damage is very high risk. I’m not much on sending things back, plus I need this for Thanksgiving serving so I’m going to keep it. The shelf works as advertised for now. The quality is bottom of the barrel, but it works. I have another 48†SS shelf from another seller and it is a step up in quality with much better supports. The stainless material is non-magnetic, which is an indicator of a better quality of metal. Magnets will stick to low grade stainless steel, which is susceptible to rusting.

This shelf is very sturdy and well made. It works great and it was very easy to install. Screw it to the wall and Pop It Up. It looks great and works even better. Great price for such a nice Shelf

I recently attempted to install this wall shelf and found it to be a bad experience. There weren’t instructions, making the install more difficult, and I noticed some sharp edges on the shelf, and I pinched my finger on the spring-loaded arms which just activated on their own causing a nasty open cut. I would say at least add a warning card to the packaging notifying customers to proceed with caution.On the positive side, the stainless steel material feels sturdy, and the folding feature is a good space-saver. If you can handle this well, and can manage the setup carefully, it could be a useful addition but be mindful of the sharp edges and those darn supports.

This is a very well made, heavy gauge stainless shelf with the fold-down hardware already installed.We got this to be able to manage laundry in a long, but narrow laundry room plus closet where adding any sort of table or permanent shelf would make daily use of the space challenging. I'm SO excited to be able to fold clothes in the laundry room and put them on the closet shelves all within that room, rather than having to take the clothes out to another room just to return them again. I can't believe I found this because it's exactly what I've been wanting to DIY for a long while ( I even bought drop down shelf hardware, but was struggling about what sort of shelf to get. Now it's going to be so simple because the shelf and the hardware are already attached and we only have to attach the shelf to the wall with the included hardware!The stainless steel is such a bonus - I love stainless because it's so easy to keep clean.I'm very impressed with this product and can't wait to hang it on the wall.
