Haven't encountered a snake yet but have pinched the wife's butt and she said it hurt so it will probably pick up a snake. I have successfully picked up/moved a soda can, a rubber snake, socks, my shoe. I paired it with a bucket from home Depot, no holes drilled yet, so I am prepared for the inevitable "snake in the garage" "snake behind the fridge" snakepocolipse. You should prepare as well.

If you are trying to be humane this will need some jaw pads, like a rubber hose or tape wrap. Otherwise sturdy and adequate length for safe catch. I have occasional Western Diamondback issues here and feel like these have a great reach to stay out of harms way. The jaws are fairly rough-cut and will not gently handle a delicate youngin'. I'm going to look for a piece of rubber hose to slide over mine to help safely transfer the good guys out of the people areas of my property.

Absolutely junk looks like a kid put together. The 1st one we bought was just as bad if not worse. Was hoping the 2nd one would be better. Nope

I had to use it the other day on cooper head in my neighbors yard. And trust me I I was glad I opened this. It worked exceptionally well, I like it but not the snake so much lol

Love this thing! The locking mechanism is a strong point for this product as well as the reach. Now we can safely remove snakes from our property.
