Although the "D" size fit as described. The heater shaft wasn't a D shape all the way and the back half of the length was a circle rod. I cut a 1/2 inch length off the knob (it was longer than I needed) and drilled out 1/4 inch of the "D" into an "O" and the knob finally fit. Bottom line. It works after some adjustments for my specific heater and might fit as is for yours (I couldn't figure out the brand of my own heater).

I ordered this for a fifty-year-old Hunter wall heater in my kitchen. The heater still works, but without a knob, I have to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to turn it on or off. This knob would have perfect, except the opening was too small and wouldn't fit over the peg.I didn't return it because I might be able to use it on something else, so I just tossed it into my tool box.

They worked fine. Turn the heater temperature up and down no problem
