I removed the cords and have them up on my white board. Students have their numbers adjacent to them. No more asking if they can go, now they just check if someone is out and they can go. Love it.

The only reason I gave this product 4 instead of 5 stars is because they are a little flimsy and sometimes want to bend and start to break. But just using them for my classroom the students take good care of them and they are perfect to use as hall passes. The magnet works well, and I can stick it to the frame of my classroom door.

All the strings broke off IMMEDIATELY. One pass was accidentally folded for a moment and now can't be made flat again. All of the fronts of the passes have faded or have been scratched up. I bought them mid August and it's mid November. They are barely keeping together.

As a high school teacher, one of the things that drives me crazy is having to write passes for the restroom or to go to the library. Some teachers will laminate one pass and then have the kids write on it with a dry-erase marker, but what do you do when you have a kid in the bathroom and one who needs to go to the office? With these, I can have my laminated passes for the restroom and attach one each to the boy's and girl's passes using the string attached, and then, if a kid needs to go somewhere else, I can give them a different pass as needed. Plus, having all the passes on the whiteboard at the front of the class lets my students (and me) know whether or not someone is already out of the room before they even ask to go somewhere. The boy's pass has already lost its string, so that is a slight problem, and the Hall pass disappeared while I was out sick for a day, but there are definitely more bonuses than negatives. Plus my kids are always commenting on how cute they are! People forget that highschoolers do appreciate stuff like that.

I have a laminated paper pass that gets lost and beat up by the students. Like a bad penny it keeps showing up! I hope this works better since it's an image attached to a magnetic sheet. It's a couple of millimeters thick.I wish they had listed bathroom pass since I have students who don't identify as male or female. If this doesn't hold up it's a wooden block with my name engraved in it. ;)

These were purchased on Jan 31, and started falling apart by mid-March. The Girls’ pass is unusable and the Boys’ pass isn’t far behind. Great concept and attractive design, but they need to last longer to be functional.
