I purchased these to standardize the buttons on my guitars. I prefer the kidney bean tuners to the ones that come on the hipshot locking tuners. I've changed out several pair with existing take off tuners, but needed a couple more sets to complete the switch. Saw these, ordered, installed and they were a perfect fit for the hipshots. They're sturdy buttons and are a bit bigger than the stock Hipshot buttons, but they look and feel solid.

I needed these to replace the plastic peg buttons on the Grover 18:1’s (apparently Grover used plastic peg buttons on some of these tuners I found out) I have on my acoustic after one of them split in half after changing out my strings. These metal ones slipped right on and worked perfectly. No need to replace the whole tuning mechanism.
