Information on the speed description:
1. The best effect can be achieved with the SATA3.0 data cable.2. The setting of the motherboard BOIS: SATA mode should be changed to AHCI.
Although some motherboards are PCIE version 2.0, by default BOIS does not enable gen2 high speed mode, which must be enabled manually.
The fastest speed of PCI-E 2.0 is 380-450 m / s. When connected to PCI-E1.0, the speed is only 200-300 m / s.
Different computer configurations and SATA SSDs have different speeds.
3. SATA ports slow down when used at the same time. This is not for users looking for speed. They are only used for expansion hard disk interfaces.
4.It is not recommended to use it for NAS system, it can only recognize up to 4 hard disks.

I got this for my unraid NAS server build, and it was plug and play, Unraid noticed the Hdd right away and was ready to use and read/write at full speeds. This is a great value! I bet its just as easy on windows too

Added this to an old acer veriton desktop with a meek little core i3 and 8gb or ram.This is in tandem with a icydock 6 bay 5.25 drive bay hot swap for 2.5 inch drives. (x2)it works perfectly and was recognized without any issues.I bought this to build a simple at home diy nas that would use some old parts I had laying around.I have over 20 1tb laptop drives laying about (I work in IT) and this managed to use all of them without issue. Note: I managed to run truenas health diagnostics on all of them and it found 2 dead drives. Then I replaced with good drives and all was perfect.I will say that while my solution is nice for reusing old parts, it isn't the most cost effective solution out there.If you are looking to do a diy nas without anything to start with i.e. old desktop and drives, then I recommend buying an old server tower or something with all of this built in from ebay, you can find really good deals on old hardware that will work much better since it removes the guess work out of building from scratch.

Big plus that it does include a SATA cable for every port on the card. Has had very little to no noticeable performance slowdowns even with multiple drivers connected to it. However, in Windows, drives connected to this will show as "Removable Devices". Keep that in mind so you don't try to eject an internal drive.

Works well but didn't come with the low profile pcie slot cover/bracket. So in use it's just floating in the slow and isn't held down at all.

Leider funktioniert die Karte nicht mit meinem ASUS Z690 PLUS D4 Motherboard. Die Hinweise von anderen, dass ich nur den richtigen Treiber von der mitgelieferten CD installieren müsse, helfen mir nicht weiter, da keine CD mitgeliefert wurde.Die LEDs auf der Karte leuchten zwar je angeschlossenem SATA-Laufwerk, aber der Controller erscheint nicht im Geräte-Manager und die Laufwerke nicht in der Windows-Datenträgerverwaltung (weder unter Windows 10 noch unter Windows 11).Ob die Karte nun gnerell zu meinem ASUS Z690 PLUS D4 Motherboard inkompatibel ist oder mir nur der passende Treiber fehlt, kann ich nicht beurteilen.So werde ich die Karte wohl zurückschicken müssen.

Achetée pour une station de travail et de montage sous AMD Ryzen et testée ensuite sur 2 configurations à base d'intel Core I7.La carte est inutilisable sur les 3 configurations car elle n'a pas 16 ports sur le contrôleur mais utilise une autre puce qui est un multiplicateur de ports ce qui n'est plus supporté sur les cartes mères poste de travail et station de travail. Carte installé dans un pc ryzen 7, 32 Go ram, windows 10 pro, elle a été directement reconnue (sans installation de drivers) dès le démarrage du pc, les disques durs connectés sur cette carte ont étés aussi reconnus sans problèmes.
