In this case, it would seem that soft wood is a good thing! Good value, good quality, nice color, easy to cut in to. These are small size which is good for beginners.

Can you get too much bass wood? I’d say no. These are just right for carving Santa heads for Christmas or pumpkin heads for Halloween. Highly recommend!!
