This tripod is well made and comes ready for use in many situations. When extending the legs, they feel wobbly until you lock them in position and then they are back to being sturdy and stable. The rubber feet are good and can rotate to be flat with the ground. There are 2 mounting plates included so you can have 2 cameras ready to quickly swap. You do have to remove the plate from the tripod mount to screw into the camera but the plates come on and off quickly. Everything will fit into the bag but it can be a tight fit. I wouldn't have minded a second compartment on the bag to store the accessories separately. Of course, once you know what you will be using, you do not have to bring all the accessories every time. It can be tough for me not to keep it all together but it would make sense.I do like how tall you can make the tripod to get interesting angles.

Only consider this tripod if you need shorter, 4-section legs so that you can fit this into a backpack or similarly short space. Otherwise, you can get something better and sturdier for the same price in a standard 3-section tripod — not to mention that 4-section legs add to the setup time every single time you use this. The other things this tripod includes that others won’t are the shooting yoke and binocular adapters, though the latter are inexpensive and readily available separately. The panhead is plastic. It’s serviceably smooth, but I’m not sure how long it will stay smooth with repeated use and wear on the all-plastic parts. The shooting yoke is solid, and can be installed directly to the tripod via an adapter ring or to the swivel panhead to accommodate a variety of shooting situations. The heavier binocular adapter is pretty standard and sturdy metal. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed in the smaller tripod adapter which is fairly thin plastic and really should have been metal; having used many different binocular adapters this one seems too light and I don’t think it will hold up to much field use. However, binocular adapters are cheap and available separately so that’s not a big strike here, but this accessory is noticeably below par even compared to the other cheaper plastic accessories included here. One major plus is that a spare panhead plate is included — something almost unheard of! This will let you have one on your spotting scope and the other on the shooting yoke for quick swapping, for example. In use, the legs slide open and closed easily and the snap-lock clasps are functional and work well enough. However, the legs stick a little when sliding them back in and the plastic latches feel cheap — be careful with them. The very bottom (fourth) leg is VERY thin, and while this is probably a necessity for having 4 telescoping sections this is easily the weakest point of the entire tripod and will not hold up to much abuse. For something designed to pack small for backpacking or hunting, these bottom legs are frail and will require careful handling all the time — something not always easy (or that you’ll have time for) in the rugged outdoors, believe me! The bottom line is if you need a short tripod that won’t get much abuse and want the shooting yoke consider this product, but if you don’t need those look at a standard 3-section tripod and buy your accessories separately. You’ll end up with something both better, sturdier, and quicker to set up.
