MAGNIFICATION OF TELESCOPE / ERECTING EYEPIECE & BARLOW LENS
- The focal length of the eyepiece, combined with the focal length of the telescope, determine the magnification power. To calculate the power of your telescope with any particular eyepiece, simply divide the focal length of the telescope (400mm) by the focal length of the eyepiece. For example, when you use the eyepiece H20mm with this telescope, the magnification will be 20X.
- Normally, a telescope offers a upside down image, the 1.5X Erecting eyepiece not only increases the magnification of telescope 1.5 times but also correct the direction of the image.
- The 3X Barlow lens can triple the magnification factor provided by the telescope.

The telescope was kind of difficult to put together the instructions weren’t very detailed. 2 weeks later I’m still struggling to put together but it’s worth the price my son still enjoys looking up at the sky and his surroundings. Although I’m having trouble with the assembly I don’t regret buying

Great telescope for my 10 year old. Fairly easy to put together and set up. The only thing I wish was that it had a taller stand. We don’t have a table out where they were using it so it was hard to view but if you have something to sit it on it would be easier.

My son recently got to see a telescope and really wanted one of his own. This looks to be the perfect size for him to begin exploring. I tested things out before wrapping it up and it seems great. No complaints and very happy with the purchase. The binoculars that come with it are also nice and will be great for him. Looking forward to him opening it for the holidays.

My eight year old Grandson and 77 year old Mother have star gazed without help several evenings . Last evening the entire Thanksgiving group of family and friends looked through this telescope at the Full moon. Great entertainment.

We tried and tried to get this thing to function, but we could not ever see any stars with it. We switched all the lenses, and fussed with it for hours to no avail. We couldn't even get it to focus on the lights across the valley from us. Looking through the lens made me feel as if I was blind.This was super disappointing as it was one of the main Santa Claus gifts for our son. We finally ended up getting my husband's spotting scope out so we could use his new book about constellations. Now, how do I explain him getting something else from Santa Claus after Christmas is over????Cheap stuff from China. Learned my lesson. Don't buy this product.

This was a x-mas gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. The first time she used it she was amazed at how the moon looks up close. I’ve tried it and it works wonders. Awesome!!!

Unfortunately this did not meet our expectations, more like a toy than an actual functioning telescope. We have returned this item but are still waiting on the refund..
