I like having an elevation column and the extra lighting. Works fine with one of my micro 16gb sd cards. This is an inexpensive usb microscope and my expectations are in line with what it costs.The picture I added is of a Starrett machinist scale. 0.5mm per division from both ends of travel.I do wish the column would go a bit higher as it has too much magnification for most coins. It is fine for electronic use.Overall I'm happy with it.

Arrived quickly and package well.I use this for soldering circuit boards and inspecting small objects for defects.I love the menu driven adjustments and flexibility for lighting and various magnification choices.The image clarity is sharp and very detailed with good contrast. For the reasonable price, the quality is very good. Would make a good classroom teaching tool. Pleased with this purchase.

Microscope set up is a breeze and unit stores in its original box well. Haven't figured out how to zoom yet, sure it's just user error. The instructions leave a lot to be desired and the Dcorn website seems to only be for registering your warranty. Make sure you order a memory card because it does not come with one. Screen image quality is excellent, screen is nice and bright and the illumination from the side lights and the microscope itself is very good. For my purposes, this works beautifully and I'm very happy.

Definitely not for what it's advertised. It says for coins but it is way to powerful for coins the magnifying only brings out basically only 1 letter at a time vs the whole coin

I’m very pleased with this microscope.It was very easy to set up and use with my iMac.Surprisingly I found that the maximum resolution was 16 MP (image size 4608x3456 pixels), not the advertised maximum of 12 MP. Other resolutions available: 12, 10, 8,3,2 and 1.3 MP. In using the iMac, Photo Booth can be used to display the image as a large size. However, if you use Photo Booth to capture the image the image size is only about 5 MP. To obtain the full size image I detached the instrument from the computer and captured the image with the microscope camera. I then turned off the microscope, removed the micro SD card (which was already installed in the instrument), placed the micro card in a full size SD card holder and inserted the holder into my 27†iMac. Then the images could be copied from the micro SD card to my iMac.I’ve inserted three figures [captured Jan.8,2022] showing images of 16 MP direct from the camera. All three are from a test pattern slide supplied with the microscope. Figures 1 and 2 show a grid where the finest grid size is 0.1 x 0.1 mm (file sizes 5.5 and 6.3 MB). Figure 3 shows three lines of line width 0.03, 0.05 and 0.07 mm respectively (file size 3.3 MB). I'm just received this instrument and have more to learn. It's great fun to play with and the image size allows some cropping and processing if desired.

I only gave this scope a 4 over all because I discovered in order for me to do circuit board repairs, I needed a scope that not only goes up and down, but I also needed one that would move forward and backward.Other than that, this scope is really excellent quality and I was pleased with the magnifying views I witnessed while trying it out.

This is a great unit, does what intended to do. I needed a little more height out of mine and found a seller on Etsy making a riser adapter for this model for anyone interested. Wont allow me to share link so you will have to search for it there. I would recommend this unit for anyone looking.

I am totally happy with this nice tool. The quality is high, the price was right, and the fact that I can connect this equipment to my laptop without special drivers, is the ice on the cake. I am definitely enjoying this Microscope. I recommend this product and the company.👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
