A lot of wood working videos and articles will talk about making a pattern to create perfect curves in your wood working projects. The issue I have always had is how do I get the perfect curve in my pattern? I bought this on a whim expecting little from it, but it worked better than I expected.It isn't a perfect device and it can't make super tight turns but For what I need it has been working great.

This template maker has many applications. It is important to understand the limitation when using this as a stand alone guide for bears when making whole cuts with a router. It excelsior at making custom curves templates to trace and rough cut. Only after rough cuts should you take a router to flush it up. I recommend to those who understand how to use this template maker safely.

Easy to use and not too flexible. Wish it was longer! Overall a very useful tool for the home workshop and useful for much more than just a router guide. Its great for laying out curves for other tools!

If you tighten the screws down even a little it compresses and throws off the pattern. Not very router friendly or reusable…most of the screws wouldn’t go through the sleeve on my 2nd attempt.

If you can deal with having small nail or screw holes in your final product, this template will work OK. But, what it is better at is laying out a curved edge to MAKE your final, reuseable template out of wood, plastic or even aluminum. Flexible enough to get some pretty tight curves (warm with heat gun for best for tightest curves) but sturdy enough to hold its shape within reason, slow cutting is best. Don't try and force the cut or it will distort. The only complaints I had were that I really did not like the screws much and, it was a rather short section. Would be a better deal if it was at least 50% longer for the price. All in all not a PERFECT solution but, it is about the best I have tried so far. Patience will get you farther with this tool than trying to rush through things.
