Have three other E.T. Energic bars, and had always been amazed by the quality, especially vs the low price. The rotation is excellent.I have always recommended E.T. Energic bars to others, and will continue to do so. As a side note, I very recently purchased their power bar (29mm Shaft) and the rotation, while less than this bar (but preferrable for a power bar) is quiet, smooth, and what I have come to expect from E.T. Energic. Their bars have always been (at least the other three I own) comparable to much higher priced offerings, and as I have owned Ivanko, Rogue, York, Rep Fitness, and many others over the years, I can say this with confidence and experience.I was really looking forward to receiving this bar, the gold and black scheme being really cool, and I'm sure it will last pretty much forever. It's a great bar.For what it is, what it does, and what it costs: Five StarsI am the Totally Unbiased Reviewer Dude (T.U.R.D.) and that is how I see it.

Overall very happy with the barbell. It is in the “budget†barbell category and it’s better than I was expecting. It’s grippy and sturdy. Very comfortable for a multi purpose bar.

First, the bar was well packaged... it was in a close fitting round cardboard tube with closed ends... then that was put into a "square" (looking at the end) box that was well taped. So it was well protected from the ape world.Now for the bar itself: Beautiful workmanship! I'm proud to have it in my gym. It weighs 44lb 3.75oz... not perfect for world record setting but perfect enough for my world. The receiving ends measure 1.97" (again perfect). They slipped into my new bumper plates like butter. And speaking of the ends... they spin like ice skates on ice. And thats important when you are going to clean and jerk 900#... you only want the bar to rotate... you DO NOT want to get all that weight rotating!! Roller bearings rule. The more... the merrier.I'm very impressed and I will order this bar again.As for the bar strength... I'll let you know if it bends when I c&j the 900lbs.

Knurling is good, ends spin freely, I like it.Color is nice and the finish is holding up well.Have been using for 3 months sonfar without issue.

I don't own any other bar so maybe I am not the best person to know a good bar from a bad. I love that the bearings rotate extremely quick. I have cheap bumper plates and Kensui calibrated weights so I like as much rotation to keep my expensive weights from rubbing against the bar in fast movements. The bar is straight with 300lb so I know it holds up to anything I will need it to do. The knurling is perfect for me since it's not sandpaper and has enough knurling to keep my grip on it for heavy lifts.

Overall I like this bar, tight tolerances, good whip, and good spin. The knurling is pretty passive but gets the job done. One of my sleeves is ribbed and the other is smooth.. so quality’s not the most consistent. At this price I can’t be too upset but worth noting.

I needed to replace my old olympic bar I had purchased in 1980. The knerling was mostly worn down and the my hands were sliding a bit. I did quite a bit of research and decided to purchase this E.T. Energic bar. I have used it for bench and also squats and it is a well crafted bar and seems to be of high quality. It was well packaged for shipping and arrived undamaged and fairly quickly. The knerling is good, I wish a bit deeper, but I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend this bar.
