I had a warped lamp shade and bought a new one to replace it. The lamp was not equipped with a harp to accommodate the lamp shade I bought, but I wanted to make it work. I searched on Amazon and found this one. It is adjustable, easy to install and come with a choice of two finials.

I needed a new lamp shade harp holder to replace the original as the screw assembly for the Finial had broken off and could not be reattached.This one worked good. and no matter what I can say I learned three things thanks to this drill. One, the top piece is called a Finial, two the metal rod is called the harp holder, and three, the base is called the harp saddle.The harp holder matched up well with the old harp saddle, which saved me some work. It was not a 100% match up but well enough to skip replacing the old saddle.The only issues I had with this was that the adjustable feature does not have a locking mechanism. This caused a slight bit of trouble during assembly. The other minor issue was that the screw assembly for the Finial was turned to the side and was so tight I had to use a pair of pliers to move it to the correct position. I was worried that I may have damaged the assembly during that but fortunately I did not.If you are looking for a new adjustable lamp shade harp holder, I can recommend this on at it's current price of 14 USD.

The finials and harp are just okay. The instructions provided did not work for my lamp. They did provide different attachments which did not work. I had to figure out a different way to attach the harp. I did get two finials, however, one was glued to the screw and the glue did not hold so it cannot be used. I would not recommend.

I got this lamp shade harp holder to replace the original one that wouldn’t fit any more after I added the remote socket on the lamp. This one can adjust to different height which is exactly what I needed. Now, I can turn the lamp ON/OFF remotely with the lamp shade on. I also replaced the finial with the crystal one to add some elegance to the lamp.
