This fan is a lot more powerful than your run-of-the-mill bathroom exhaust fan. I have this fan mounted in a backup generator cabinet so it comes on to cool the generator when it's powered up.It is all stainless steel and runs fairly quiet and puts out a lot of air!

I used it in my attic, mounted it in one of my existing roof vents, has very good CFM and pulls some of the heat out, great price

Installed this in my shed because it gets so friggen hot. Works good enough to suit me. Of course it’s no air conditioner but it does knock the temp down in the shed (10ft X 12ft) by a few degrees. Some people complain about the noise. Well that’s because it’s moving a lot of air and it’s not really that bad. Pro tip, don’t forget to install a louver vent on the other side of the shed so the fan can pull the air through.

After receiving two (2) of those well made and heavy duty fans, I studied the design and needed them to actualy extract hot air from the fireplace enclosure, so actually have them blow one way outward. This is when I took the fan appart, predrilled 5 holes, four on one of the metal housing ridges and a fifth one to pass the electrical cable. I spray painted, in black satin the back of the motor assembly and metal bracket as well as the screws, and reinstalled the fan facing the opposite side. Added two new electrical plugs, and the fans work perfectly. I added a WESTINGHOUSE Four-Speed Fan Control Switch, and both units work perfectly, with the low speed completely quiet, and the second speed, whisper smooth. At the highest speed, both of them working in combo will draw air out at a rate of as much as 700 CFM each (1400 CFM). This will greatly increase the heating performance of my living room fireplace, maximizing the aii circulation through out the house and drawing out the maximum heat from the fireplace enclosure. The only surprise was when I stripped the electrical cord, and found one of the three lead wires being of a much smaller gauge (almost flimsy). Plus, you must watch the polarity since the connection will only work one way. All in all, great product and, with a quick coat of paint, to cover the silver metal motor, the units look marvelous.

I wanted a fan to blow a air down a hallway I heat with a pellet stove in front room some times when it get-24 to -44 Celsius, my back rooms get cold. So I installed this to plug in when it gets super cold to move air down the hall and it does move air quite a ways down the hall. A little Noisy But I can live with it pushes the right amounted of air I need So it's just the matter of seeing if it holds up through the winter months it should

Got 6 stitches 3rd time I used the fan. I'm using it as a portable exhaust, which it does very well. But the blade are extremely close to the body perimeter making the protection grill ineffective. If mounted out of reach.... go for it. If pets or people can get close.... Full Pass! Look elsewhere.
