Ensure the lamp has been power off before installing the harp set !
- The saddle base should be detached from whole harp set first;
- Assemble the saddle base on the lamp body;
- Assemble the harp onto the saddle base by inward squeezing both "legs" of harp;
- Unscrew the finial, place the lampshade on the harp, and screw the finial tightly;
- Assemble the bulb;
- Ensure its balance of lampshade by adjusting the base of finial slightly.
The harp will NOT wobble after assembling
The harp sits on saddle base securely after assembling, means the "legs" of harp always properly fit with saddle base. you don't need to worry about its stability, as we checked all of harps before packing.
Height of harp you are going to buy, should be 1~2 inch SHORTER than the vertical height of lampshade.

Got these to replace two very old ones. Appearance is nice, the work the same as the older one very sturdy, very easy to assemble onto the lamp and fit just right.

My wife wanted to find a home for an old lamp that had been sidelined for several years. She had a lampshade she wanted to use so we measured several heights to see waht looiked best and settled on 10" as looking about right.Found this set of 2 that were priced attractively and took a chance but it fit the bille perfectly and the quality was very good. I'm pretty sure they're brass plated but they're not goingv to get handled or out in the weather so they should do just fine.

Exactly what I wanted As described, quick ship. Now I have a spare. I needed this to replace a shorter one, I could not get the bulb to go in. This worked perfectly. Fair price.

Replaced almost 20 year old lamp shade holders with these replacement parts. Assembly was somewhat difficult because the center bore diameter of the new assembly was smaller than the older ones and had to order alternate parts (difficult to find) to make everything fit. After the assembly is strong and attractive.
