This is a good starter kit, but wish there was twice as much coarse grit since most rocks tumble longer in phase 1. Also needs a finer end phase grit.

This gives you a good starting place to learn. I am only on step 2 of 4, but so far I am happy with grit. Not so happy with my choice of stones to learn on, petrified wood, and granite from front yard.
