It is pretty natural for kids to see a spring and want to stretch it. When they do with this bell it pretty much disables it. It happened in a moment and not being able to really touch and explore these bells took a lot of the fun out of them. We lost one in moments before I had to tell them they can't play with them that way. The color is great, the tone is nice but maybe not for kids under 10. Younger kids just want to see how they work and play with the clapper which will not hold up to exploration play

These '8 Note Hand Bells for Kids Adults' are nice quality, with smooth handles and bright colorful bells. I'm no expert, but the bell tone notes sound good to me, from C to C. I purchased one of the many available music books made for color coded bells and look forward to enjoying these with our kids, who love to create music. Seems like a great gift to me.
