My amplifier stands came with 4 pointed stand stabilizers that come to a sharp point. The Copper Speaker Spike Pads work extremely well. If you didn't have these pads your floor, or wooden cabinet mount would suffer damage. The pads worked perfectly for me. Good purchase.

Poor machining or quality control because they had a small hole in the middle and the spikes I have poke right through it, defeating it's purpose.

There is a hole drilled all the way through, so narrow spikes (like the ones on my two Vandersteen floor standing speakers and the ones on my M&K Subwoofer) protruded through the hole and would STILL damage the floor. Not sure why they were drilled all the way through...

Using these on my KEF Q950’s that sit on a tile floor. Seem to do great at isolating them from the floor. Quality product.

I use them with S400 Pangea speaker stands with the spikes. I filled the speaker stands with sand and placed Elac Uni-fi UB5 bookshelf speakers on top. The sand + speakers add about 30lbs to the small isolation pads. For the past week the pads have been able to keep and have done what I expect them to do--isolate the speakers from the floor. I'm not sure what the weight that they are rated for but I hope they keep up...

I was worried that it may not work with my small and very sharp and pointy spikes on my speaker stands because of the hole in the middle. To me, it made more sense to not have a hole and instead be a solid piece. However, it works perfectly fine as is. You can even add felt pads on the bottom which will raise it a bit more for some additional peace of mind.
