This is a great little gavel if you don't plan to slam it hard on a table, but just call a meeting to order. The brass plate identifying the organization is a nice touch. The walnut finish is very pretty. The gavel was very well packed, which I appreciated given that the shipping/handling cost almost as much as the gavel itself.

It was exactly what I wanted. The inscription was wrong. When I contacted the company they said it's how I wrote it. I know what i wanted written and double checked it.
