I kind of regret ordering these. They are fine and I've used three of them now with no issues but I didn't realize that this price was only for 8 sockets. It's fine if you don't use a lot of these, but that isn't a great deal. Normally, I pay 3 cents each for these basic sockets and this package was a lot more than 24 cents. Even machine tooled IC sockets are less expensive than these in a lot of cases. I did need 8 pin sockets so they came in very handy for me, and I'm glad I have them until I can order some more from overseas.In general, these are fine. No complaints about how they work or the quality. They conduct just fine and I haven't had any issues with ICs popping out so in that sense they are good.

These are good quality. The contacts are double, i.e. they contact both sides of the component pin, not all sockets do. I use 8 pin sockets for op amps, these will fill the bill.
